Naomi Sanon joins Generation Citizen as the Director of Programs and State Partnerships, bringing more than a decade of experience leading programs, building strategic partnerships, and advancing equitable opportunities across education and nonprofit organizations. Throughout her career, she has partnered with educators, school systems, community organizations, and cross sector leaders to design impactful programs, strengthen relationships, and drive meaningful outcomes for the communities they serve.
Before joining Generation Citizen, Naomi served in a variety of program and partnership roles across education and nonprofit organizations, supporting educators, entrepreneurs, and community members through program implementation, relationship building, coaching, and strategic initiatives. She is passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences, fostering strong partnerships, and expanding access to high quality civic education that empowers both educators and students.
Naomi holds a Master of Social Work from Boston University and a bachelor’s degree in Global Mass Communication from North Central University. Outside of work, she enjoys mentoring professionals through career transitions, exploring new places, and spending time outdoors with family and friends.
