As a child, Mackenzie was homeschooled, attended private school in England for two years, finished high school at a US charter school, and earned a BA in History from Angelo State University. This variety of educational experiences gave her an appreciation for different pedagogical approaches and the power of project-based learning. She is excited to bring this perspective to her work at Generation Citizen.

Mackenzie brings experience in tutoring US History, middle school social studies teaching, executive / administrative assistance, and project management. She enjoys creating, improving, and documenting processes, supporting others in their work, and making things run efficiently for her colleagues. Her personal accomplishments include volunteering with local tenant organizing efforts, and she has fostered four litters of neonatal kittens.

Outside of work, Mackenzie enjoys painting elaborate nail art, listening to audiobooks, and watching TV. Her favorite show of all time is The Good Place.
