Franci Bell joins Generation Citizen with more than two decades of experience as a school leader and consultant committed to expanding opportunity for young people. A former Head of School at The Cooper School in Charleston, she has led school redesign efforts, built SEL and project-based learning programs, and coached educators and leaders across schools and youth-serving organizations. Her work centers student voice, belonging, and agency, values that align strongly with GC’s mission.

Before joining GC, Franci served as a consultant, partnering with nonprofits and schools to strengthen culture, build leadership capacity, and design programs that help young people understand their own power. She has developed curriculum for disconnected youth, supported organizations through major transitions, and facilitated leadership development rooted in psychological safety and trust-centered leadership development.

Franci holds a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University, a master’s in Curriculum & Instruction, and a J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law, along with certificates in School Management & Leadership (Harvard), Positive Psychology (UPenn), and Design Thinking (Stanford d.school). Originally from South Carolina, and now based in the Pacific Northwest, she enjoys hiking, reading, and exploring new places with her husband Andrew and their four children.
