Dillon came to Generation Citizen in Fall 2023 as a Program Manager for the New England region after 10 years of nonprofit, school department, and AmeriCorps experience.

Growing up in Rhode Island, he attended the University of Rhode Island and earned a BA in Political Science in 2011, and a Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) in 2012.

He worked in City Year as an AmeriCorps member with a 5th-grade classroom, in AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC) as a team leader on environmental and other nonprofit projects in the Pacific region, in local public schools as a substitute teacher and as an AmeriCorps VISTA working on career/college pathways, in a free health clinic as an AmeriCorps VISTA team leader, and returned to City Year to work as a school team/partnership manager for 4+ years.

Dillon is excited to come to Generation Citizen and work to empower student voice, support teachers, and boost civic knowledge/ engagement at this crucial time in our democracy.

In his free time, he enjoys reading books and watching shows/movies (especially fantasy and science-fiction), creative writing, and spending time outside in nature.
