Gracie Ging is a social studies teacher at Southeast High School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She received her Bachelor of Arts in History Education from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2023. Gracie graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors and is certified in social studies education. Her passion for education led to her participation in the Oklahoma Inspired to Teach Program. This program encourages teacher retention and requires a commitment to teach in underserved communities. In addition, Gracie serves as the Freshmen Class Sponsor at her school and encourages community building through school spirit. 

Gracie joined the teacher leadership board in 2025 after developing a passion for civics education. She won Generation Citizen’s teacher changemaker award at Civics Day in 2024 and believes that Generation Citizen empowers young people to create change through collaboration within their own communities. She has joined the Teacher Leadership Board to connect with other Generation Citizen teachers and extend the program’s outreach. 

Outside of school, Gracie enjoys cooking, sewing, and spending time with her family.
