Laurel Stolte
Doctoral Candidate, Harvard Graduate School of Education
As a doctoral student at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, Laurel Stolte has worked with Generation Citizen on developing a theory of change, revising the curriculum, and examining the role of mentors in the program. Laurel has worked to engage diverse youth both academically and civically by teaching middle- and high-school Spanish, social studies, and English as a Second Language for over six years and serving as a service-learning program coordinator and board member for Project YES (Youth Envisioning Social change). Through both her doctoral research and work with Generation Citizen, she hopes to support other teachers, schools, and communities in creating new generations of diverse, educated, and engaged citizens.
